Montreux Lakeside Promenade

Doesn't matter what time of the day or what day of the year...if you are in Montreux, you just have to take a nice leisurely stroll along the lake. The place is always breathtakingly beautiful and it is peaceful despite being full of tourists and locals. There are many things to see along the promenade along with many restaurants and shops.

The Montreux lakeside walking trail is indeed a very pleasant experience, offering beautiful views and a variety of cafes and restaurants to enjoy. When we visited it was very cloudy bit still sense the beauty of this promenade.

We had a late morning. Breakfast with Tom and Kathryn. Beautiful day ahead of our trip to Montreux. Charming city and an honour to see Freddie Mercury’s statue. Beautiful lake waterfront area. Had breakfast brunch at Macdonald’s. Was another cold and chilly morning. The lake was spectacular. Great stroll all along the promenade! We spent a couple of hours there. Took the bus from home to catch the train in Aigle to Montreux and back. Train and bus services are very reliable.

Spending time at the promenade, does let us know, how much care the quays are involved in, along the le Lac, including the several statues and memories, from legends known connected with Montreux

It was beautiful place to go for a walk and enjoy the calm and peace of the area. You get amazing pictures for memories!
