After living in New Zealand for over ten years, I finally visited Mt Eden for the first time—and it was absolutely worth the wait. The view from the summit is stunning, offering a full panorama of Auckland city, the harbour, and surrounding suburbs. Even on a cloudy day, the contrast between the urban skyline and lush greenery is beautiful. Learning about the sacred history of Maungawhau made the experience even more meaningful. A truly peaceful and memorable spot in the heart of the city.

Mount Eden offers stunning panoramic views of the city and its surrounding landscapes, including the ocean and distant volcanoes. The short walk to the summit, which is an ancient volcanic crater is easy and rewarding with lush greenery and fascinating geological history. It's peaceful spot perfect for a quick escape into nature while still being close to the city.

One of the best viewpoints in Auckland! Mount Eden offers stunning 360-degree views of the city and the iconic volcanic crater is truly impressive. It’s a short but steep walk to the summit, and totally worth the effort. You can either hike up from the base or park a bit higher up and walk the rest. The area is well-maintained, with clear pathways and information boards about the site’s history. A great spot for photos, sunsets, or just soaking in the view

Considering the mountain has my name, I was expecting it to be dull and boring - like me. However, it was stunning! An amazing view, I highly recommend checking it out if you are in Auckland. I mean, what else is there to do in Auckland anyway???

Beautiful place for a walk with views of Auckland. Some long stairs to climb on the route we took, but it flattens out nicely for a walk around the top. We had cloudy skies with a nice fresh breeze. There’s a roadway up and down to if you’d prefer an easier way up or a ride back to central Auckland.
