Very nice place to walk around with colorful storefronts.Local people are extremely nice. There is plenty of small cafés, eateries .. This is a must when visiting Melaka. Besides, it leads you to the others interesting places (Jonker street, St Paul church, etc …) I also recommend you to take the Melaka river cruise for RM25 (5€)

A really relaxing gentle walk down the river, we walked up one side to the floating street market and back down the other side. Lots of places to eat as well.

I walked in the morning. It was quiet and pleasant. Saw some monitor lizards and met a few cats.

Great walk to burn off calories after the delicious Melaka food. The bridges along the winding river are such lovely sights. Brings back beautiful memories of the bridges of Venice. It's interesting to peep in the cafes along the riverbank . Reminds me of Hoi An minus the crowd. Jonker is marvelous place to enjoy people watching, food & sounds. A marvellous place where the present meets the past.
