This is a brilliant museum. It is in the beautiful Place Des Vosges. Entrance is free though there can be charges for specific exhibitions. The rooms on the second floor have much of the original furniture and decorations. The picture and paintings are fascinating. There is a lift to all floors so wheelchair accessible. A real gem especially for Hugo fans.

Beautiful & free museum. You leave the bustling outside world behind when you enter this historically preserved apartment. A journey into the past! This is the actual apartment of the famous Victor Hugo! The rooms are full of the original furniture and wallpaper (so much wallpaper!!!) The history & things to learn are fascinating. Nice little gift shop at the end for fans of Hugo!

If you like opera and art, one shall not miss this. So glad I made the effort to come here. Surprise me a lot and very informative. Free of charge on entrance. Paris is huge but do yourself a favor to come here. Its location of the park is gorgeous. What a gem at this quiet district without mass tourists.

If you’re into Les Misérables or any of Victor Hugo’s work, you’ve got to check out his house. Entry is free, which is awesome, but try to go early so you don’t have to wait in line. It’s a cool spot to see where he lived and get a feel for the world behind his writing. As I remember, Maison de Victor Hugo (Paris) is fully wheelchair accessible, with accommodations throughout the museum. The entire museum—including upstairs rooms—is accessible and supports independent access for visitors with mobility issues. Comfortable seating is also available in multiple rooms.
