QG44+66R, Maha Chai Rd, Khwaeng Wat Bowon Niwet, Phra Nakhon, Bangkok 10200, Thailand
A new opening historical space where used to be the pier in the King Mongkut era. This linear graden is behind the historical Makakarn Fort where you can sense of the old days of Bangkok. There are many a-must--to-see places in the walking distance. Must check!
Nice fort. Very whitewashed. Solid walls sparkles against the blue sky.
I was staying at the Nasa Vegas Hotel and took the Khlong Saen Saep Boat to Panfa Pier from Ramnueng pier. The fort was right across the bridge. There is a nice quiet park behind the fort and a really cool temple across the street. Easy walk to Khaosan road from there passing by Democracy Monument. After lunch at khaoson, took the river ferry from Phra Athrit Pier to the Ratchawong Pier in Chinatown for drinks at GENZ bar in the China Grand then hit the metro back 7.
Beautiful walled garden area has river running past it behind the fort
