Incredible collection!!! This museum is magical for adults and children alike with restored Manège from the mid-1800s, carnival games and conserved theatre sets and statues. Do not hesitate for one moment to visit, it will be a highlight of your time in Paris. You must book in advance, only possible to visit with a guide or during the festival.
Don’t miss this wonderful Collection of old fairgrounds rides from the 19th century. The tour is in French , but you can follow along with the handouts the give you in English . You even get to ride on some of them ! This is a very unique and special treat . The guides are very informative .
Visiting Les Pavillons de Bercy was hands down the highlight of my and my partner’s ten day visit to Paris. Lybert, our guide, was phenomenal. He was so engaging! He also translated the tour into English for the handful of us who were tourists (many locals attended), had hilarious and fascinating commentary, and gave every person a chance to participate in each game. The museum is truly magical and other-worldly. Couldn’t recommend a visit enough for adults or children! Worth every euro! We were smiling and laughing the whole visit, and the final ride (the only one left in the whole world) was exhilarating! One thing to note - we had to get someone with a French cell number to book for us, because the website Visa confirmation is sent by text. You have to buy tickets in advance to attend.
French style entertainment museum. The guide says it's only 30% of owners collection - which is still huge. The biggest carousel which is his biggest collection is not there due to its size. If you have been to 'The house on the Rock's which is in Chicago, the collection size is quite small. However, this place has more stuff you can try yourself. The horse race and bicycle carousel was great and fun. The guide was very nice!
Impressive collection in a perfect condition and informative and artistic tour with guide Libert. Left with a wide smile and will definitely come again to show this amazing museum to my friends ? I went for French tour, but checked English one too - English tour is sold out weeks before. Buy tickets in advance.
