2025.4.5 花見 Secured a good spot around 8:00. Full blossom! There’s a nearby Lawson to buy food but there are also food stalls which opens by 10:00. Small park CR. Depending on your tarp location, there are beautiful Cherry blossom trees! Many people starts to arrive as noon comes close. Many activities are done by friends and families under the blanket of Sakura. In my case, I took photos! Truly the spirit of Flower viewing. Today’s also a bit of a windy day so we see some flower showers ? Recommended place for 花見. (There’s a flock of tourists as well… might be because of the spring season and Osaka EXPO. But please follow the etiquette of flower viewing. Don’t pick the flowers from the trees! ?)

Kema Sakuranomiya Park is a beautiful park and one of the best places to see Cherry Blossoms in March and April in Japan. Pictures don't do justice to actually being here. It's a lovely clean and respected park. The river was calm, peaceful and within the park waters, there are plenty of huge fish, turtles and ducks around. Along the river, you will see boats pass by. Even saw restaurant boats! Lots of people picnic here, not to really eat or bbq but hang out. There is also a volley ball beach area. Definitely a must visit while in Japan!

One of the best places in Osaka to view the cherry blossoms sakura. I was quite lucky in the day i visited - i think the sakura was in full bloom (and it rained the next day). A very wonderful place to jog, have a picnic, or just to escape from the hustle and bustle of the rat race and be one with nature

Easy access from Sakuranomiya Station makes it super convenient, and there’s plenty of space even when it gets busy. The park is easily accessible via public transportation, with Sakuranomiya Station on the JR Osaka Loop Line being the closest stop. From there, it's a short walk to the park's entrance. The park is open year-round and admission is free, making it a popular spot for both locals and tourists seeking a tranquil escape from the city's hustle and bustle.​ In addition to cherry blossoms, Kema Sakuranomiya Park offers well-maintained walking paths, grassy areas for picnics, and scenic views of the river. During the cherry blossom season, typically in early April, the park becomes a vibrant hub of activity, with food stalls and boat rides enhancing the festive atmosphere.​ I visited during peak bloom and it was magical – truly one of my favorite cherry blossom spots in Osaka. Highly recommended if you're in the city in early April!

A magnificent place to view cherry blossoms. The park was not packed unlike what I had heard from others. The park keeps going down the river with endless pink trees. It’s a super relaxing place, and there were many people doing picnics in the grass which seems like a nice idea. Especially on a day with good weather, Kema Sakuranomiya park is a must. ???
