Jorge Álvares statue is just like an ordinary statue in Macau. For one interested in history, this statue is probably worth dropping by. Jorge Álvares is the first European to have reached China by sea during the Age of Discovery and Exploration -- that is the period between the 15th and 18th century.

He is credited as the first European to have reached China by sea . His Statue in just infront of our Hotel.. Metropole Hotel.

There is a small kiosk in this park that sells vegetarian meals.Although they are quite pricey,the servings are really good and tasty. On a sunny day, it is relaxing to sit under the trees and rest in this haven amidst this urban jungle.Across is New Yaohan, Luso Bank and a couple of blocks furthest is Senado Square.

Very nice park in the city center, there are food stalls and ample seating to enjoy the atmosphere in the afternoon
