Isa Khan Niyazi was a noble in the court of Sher Shah Sur. This enclosure includes his tomband a mosque, both built during his own lifetime. The octagonal tomb, pre-dating Humayun's Tomb by only 20 years, has striking ornamentation in the form of canopies, glazed tiles, and lattice screens. This magnificent building consists of two parts, a tomb and a mosque which are located in a separate enclosure within the Humayun Tomb complex, New Delhi. This magnificent tomb and mosque were built during the lifetime by Isa Khan Niazi himself, who held a high position in the court of Sher Shah Suri. This splendid tomb was built before Humayun's tomb in 1547 AD and its architecture is based on a very attractive Indo Islamic style. This tomb and mosque can be accessed through a massive gate. This octagonal tomb has attractive ornamentation in the form of domes, canopies covered with glazed tiles and latticed screens and has three arches on each side for entry which are built on stone pillars. There is a door on each side for entry into the central chamber. On the western side of the enclosure, the three-bay mosque has a grand red sandstone central bay and attractive arches. It is an example of magnificent architecture and a beautiful tourist attraction.
