The central party place in Hongdae. Great mix of Koreans and foreigners. The area around "playground" is packed with bars and clubs. Definitely a must go if you want to get an impression how party is done in Seoul

Previously an actual playground. Now an open public space, with live performances at night. Next to street vendors and bustling shopping district.

Usually on weekends it's super crowded with live performance it's a good place to chill and enjoy free music!

Busy park, especially during weekends. Full of musicians and young people drinking, goofing around and having fun. It s in a popular busy district near uni campus. Lot of western bars, clubs and places to eat.

Always was a bit of a mess, but this was the meetup spot for years in 홍대! Endless variety of entertainment from buskers, to actual idols, to just good old fashioned people watching. Looks like it's been renovated since I last was able to visit, would love to check it out now.
