You will experience long waiting while public holidays. But the crowd control is good, so the queue can through smoothly. I recommend buy tickets by online, sometimes there’s a good offer for ticketing and no extra wait for onsite tickets booth before you entrance to get on observation wheel.

If you are coming from Kowloon then take the ferry across. It is a long walk from Central train station. The Hong Kong hop on hop off bus also stops right at the entrance. Definitely worth a visit. You get three trips around. The views are great.

We went there at night for better overall experience. Nice night time pictures with surrounding building all nicely lit up. Even the boat down the sea or river are colourful as well. The observation wheel spin for 3 times before we need to get of the car.

Standing in the sun and humidity can be uncomfortable, and there’s little shade available while waiting. ? The wheel rotates three times, so I recommend using the first round to plan your photos, and then snap away on the second or third—don’t forget to just enjoy the view, too! ? A bit of constructive feedback: As much as I love this experience, the customer service could be better. During our visit, most of the staff we encountered seemed disinterested and disengaged. Several were standing around chatting, glued to their phones, or clearly just counting down the minutes to the end of their shift. Their body language said it all. Given this is such a popular attraction for both locals and tourists, a little more attentiveness and enthusiasm would go a long way in creating a memorable experience. It’s a small thing, but it can make a big difference—especially for first-time visitors to Hong Kong. I hope this is something the operators (and honestly, service providers across HK) can work on. Very reasonable ticket price for a good experience. Even the Photos are very reasonable. Nice view of Hong Kong. I went on a Sunday afternoon so the waiting time is about 15 mins.
