It costs no money to see Kangaroo here! Just walk to the south part of the Island and go inside the fence (don’t forget to close them again to protect this Kangaroo). I’ve been there in the mid-afternoon and late afternoon and always can spot them here, under or near the trees or bushes. Besides being Kangaroo, it is an excellent place to have a picnic or walk. The car park is free for 3 hours as well.
You're supposedly able to find Kangaroos here. Area is pretty big and you'll see all sorts of animals and plants. Wear comfortable walking shoes and put on some sunblock.
Must go place. Went there with my brother all the way from malta and we really loved this place. His first experience seeing kangaroos was superb.
Pretty nice a small island to walk around and have some beautiful pictures, but no kangaroos were seen the day I was there. Btw, a new bridge for pedestrians and cyclists is under construction in that area.
Heirisson Island is a small island located in the Swan River, near the Perth CBD in Western Australia. It serves as a scenic recreational area featuring walking and cycling trails, picnic spots, and views of the city skyline. The island is best known for its population of Western Grey Kangaroos, which roam freely in a designated enclosure, making it a popular spot for locals and tourists to observe these iconic Australian animals up close.
