Before my visit, I thought that music is just for leisure. The Grainger Music Museum showed me the scientific and historic aspects of music which changed my way of thinking

Cool museum hidden near Melbourne Uni Music Department. I went to see the Synthesizer exhibition in 2018, and that was epic. The staff are knowledgeable and passionate. A lovely little space with some awesome free exhibitions. Worth a look-see :)

The Grainger Museum located at Melbourne University is a hidden gem. Stumbled upon while taking a Melbourne University walking tour. Percy Grainger was a true Aussie eccentric, genius of music composition and performance. In later life he proposed this museum to Melbourne University and supervised it's creation providing a unique range of memorabilia from his own collection. Well worth a visit.

I first visited the Grainger Museum just after he died and have always wanted to make a return trip. It was no disappointment..A great monument to one o Australia s finest musicians. Quite well.laid out and enlightening. Well worth it

For those interested in Percy Granger, this is a well curated comprehensive exhibit. For those looking for something to do or are not aware of Granger and his contributions to the musical world, this museum will not be particularly engaging.
