Goa Rang Reng Waterfall is a unique and peaceful spot near Ubud, known for its cascading water flowing over rocky steps. The entrance fee is 20K IDR per person and there’s an option for a short hike to explore the sacred cave nearby. The rocks can be slippery, so be careful when climbing. It’s not as crowded as other waterfalls, making it a great place to enjoy nature in a tranquil setting! Follow @roxana.iamandi.❤️

This was honestly one of the most fun and unforgettable days I’ve ever had. The place is absolutely beautiful—a real hidden gem that’s way less crowded than other waterfalls in Bali. The area is massive, and while you can explore some parts on your own, I highly recommend going with a local guide if you’re up for an adventure and want to stay safe. You don’t need a guide to reach the main waterfall, the cascading falls, or the cave for photos, but if you’re planning to actually get into the waterfall—don’t try it alone. It can be dangerous without someone experienced. We had Bli Nyoman as our guide and he was incredible. Super friendly, made us feel safe the whole time, and he’s really good at taking photos too! He took us through a river canyon, where we swam through waterfalls, jumped off a cliff, played on a swing over the river, and even slid down the main waterfall. Being in the waterfall was wild and so much fun—definitely a highlight! The river trail might seem easy at first glance, but don’t be fooled. The water can be deep or rocky, and you can’t always see what you’re stepping on. That’s another reason I’d suggest going with a guide if you’re planning to go beyond the usual photo spots. Also, wear proper shoes. They do provide some, but they’re not the most comfortable. And I’d definitely avoid going during the rainy season—it could make things a lot trickier. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a mix of adventure, nature, and a truly memorable experience.

We paid (quite a bit unexpectedly) a local guide, Putu, to take us to see the hidden waterfall section. He took some amazing photos and videos and it really was a hidden gem as we were the only ones there. You do have to wade through deep muddy waters to get there! We also climbed a bit on the main waterfall and felt very safe because we had a guide, very strong current!

Perfect day with our guide Putu! Very personal and authentic - no other tourists around. This waterfall can only be visited via a guide. Our guide Putu was very informative, funny and friendly. We had a great day with him. I highly recommend visiting as it was one of my favourite days! He is also a fantastic photographer ;) it let us live in the moment more with him taking our photos for us !
