The availability of benches to sit, with a view of the river, makes it an ideal place to find solace and honor loved ones. The serenity and beauty of the surroundings add to the overall experience. It's a place that beautifully encapsulates both remembrance and tranquility.

Lovely walk to the memorial along the river. Less frequented than quake museum.

it was a strong memorial for those who passed during the 2011 quake. Just next to a meandering body of water made for an excellent stop to reflect and have a quiet moment to yourself. I thought it was very good urban design and planning to get it done the way it was. really loved the tranquillity.

Very deep emotional effect on me. Simple but effective memorial to those who passed. A must visit in Christchurch to pay respect. The riverside setting adds an level of meaning with the flowing water symbolising so much.
