A very nice highly trafficked site, Buddhist and secular mix. The city pillars are covered. The artwork is the gorgeous Thai style. Dress appropriately. And yes, worth a visit even after you see the other superb tourist sites next door.

This is one of the spots most tourists overlook but is definitely worth a stop. It’s beautiful, and very well patronized by the devout. Also you’re likely to catch a traditional dance while you’re here!

Another temple popular with locals but overlooked by many tourists. It’s said to have a pillar that was put in when Bangkok city was built. There are also many different halls with shrines to pray for different purposes. At the main pillar shrine, there is also a temple Hindu monk who helps to chant for us.

That's a beautiful tradition. The start of a new year is such a hopeful time, filled with the promise of new beginnings. In Thailand, many people visit temples to pray and make merit, seeking blessings and good fortune for the year ahead.

I visited in the morning when it wasn’t crowded, which made the experience very peaceful and calming. The weather was pleasant and not too hot, adding to the comfort. The place was clean and beautifully maintained — a perfect setting to relax and enjoy the moment.
