Kampung Terang, 11000 Balik Pulau, Penang, Malaysia
Just recently visited this most beautiful scenic beauty destination on pleasant Rainy evening chill Misty around each every corner covers with Hill's and forest . The best place to spend our weekend at peaceful from tension life citylife . Beautiful country side of greenery surrounds and paddy fields which conquer our eye's . Shop's are lesser only but in few kilometres we can go nearer shop's and restaurants on hill side .Buses are available for this beautiful place .from Balik Pulau bus stop 403 and 502 buses are going to the paddy field but we have to get down on exact stop and take a nature walk to reach to This place .
Worth a visit to the paddy field as there is a big mural wall for photo snapping. Early morning will find people ride bicycle around the field
This place is GOLD ! I skipped the city centre and bet my money to go to this secluded area , and man it was 1000% worth it. Though i arrived at near noon and the sun was blazing down on me , yet the area + surrounding was so clearly beautiful. Just find a good spot to sit for a while and took some nice picture. The paddy field stretch until the horizon..was suprised we can find this beauty in Penang. My advice , skip the city centre and come here
Took a Grab from Georgetown (45rm) visited on a Monday and there was no one around. Great for pictures, bring your tripod! Sun is merciless. Pls bring an umbrella or day jacket. Very peaceful and pretty (fields of green!) but nothing much to do. No stalls that sell food or drinks nearby so pls have your meal before that or bring your own food. I heard that you can rent bicycles but we didn’t see any bike rental shops around. There is a seafood restaurant (Jia Siang Cafe) about 3km away but there was no Grab to drive us there so we WALKED FOR AN HOUR UNDER THE SUN. Very painful walk as it was very very very hot but the food was great! We saw some goats, cows, cats on the one hour journey ?
The paddy fields in Balik Pulau offer a serene escape from the busy streets of Georgetown, Penang. The lush green fields are particularly beautiful during planting and harvesting seasons, with the golden hues of sunrise and sunset adding to the scenery. The area is quiet and peaceful, perfect for relaxation and reflection. Situated in a remote location, the fields feature a unique container with artistic drawings, providing a popular spot for photos. While there isn’t much else to do, the natural charm and tranquility make it a pleasant getaway for those seeking a break from the city.
