Very Serene Indian temple. A short climb up is worth it for the calm and beautiful temple up top the hill. It will take 10-30 mins to climb the stairs depending upon your fitness. Unless it is a festival day, there are very few people going up. The view from the top is also good.
My favourite place in the entire world. Whenever I come here and walk those 518 stairs up, sometimes I will be having something in mind that I would want to ask Him. But whenever I see Thaneermalaiyan, I always feel “Why ask when He knows what to give and not?”. And I will always be coming down from there, feeling better and assured, as if after visiting a good friend or a parent. Amazing management too, the dogs there looks pretty taken care off. And the thought to have a guard to take care of the parking so that only the devotees are allowed to park within the temple compounds to ease our prayers, it should be applauded. To many more months and years of seeing the temple prosper well.
Very beautiful temple. Went during Thaipusam. For elderly people recommended to bring someone along as the steps are steep and there's a lot of steps about 500+
Such a powerful temple and I had the best Thaipusam experience this year with my favourite people ?
During our trip to Penang, my family and I visited the Thaneer Malai Murugan Temple, a sacred and tranquil place dedicated to Lord Murugan. Perched on a hill, the temple offers breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for prayer and reflection. As we climbed the steps leading to the temple, we felt a sense of devotion and anticipation. The beautifully adorned deity of Lord Murugan radiated a divine presence, and the sounds of prayers and devotional hymns added to the spiritual ambiance. We offered our prayers and sought blessings, feeling a deep sense of peace and fulfillment. The visit to Thaneer Malai Murugan Temple was a spiritually uplifting experience for our family. The serene surroundings, rich cultural significance, and divine presence made it a truly memorable and meaningful journey.
