Nice to walk along the city walls. There was a light exhibit while we were there so it was so pretty with the lights and colors. We had a small inconvenience getting the pram for our kids up as there is no step free access.

A nice place to walk a bit around the city. Nice buildings on it with some fine detailed architecture. You can see some parks below the wall with locals doing all sorts of activities. A lovely place to hang about and have a gentle stroll. Very much recommended while you are in Xi'an.

Nice place to get a feel of the ancient city walls of Xi’an. People also seem to like biking here and do wedding fantasy shots in full emperor and empress (or concubine depending on your mode of fantasy) garb here as well. I would’ve loved to see this place in all its lantern glory during the lantern festival but there are other parts of the city where the lantern exhibits have not been taken down.

This ancient city wall was built about 1,500 years ago, has a total length of about 14 km and is about 12 m high. This is the most intact and best preserved ancient city wall in the world. The city wall is very thick and has many watchtowers, it can be said that the city wall protects Xi'an city from attacks. This is the capital of 13 Chinese emperors. You should visit the ancient city wall in the late afternoon when the weather is cool. Renting a bicycle (rental place on the city wall) and cycling on the city wall is a great experience. After cycling around the city, you can get off and eat at some local restaurants right at the foot of the city. Delicious food, enthusiastic service and very reasonable prices

The Xi’an Ancient City Wall is one of the oldest, largest, and most complete city walls still standing in China.
