96-1 Nishikujo Ikenouchicho, Minami Ward, Kyoto, 601-8416, Japan
Loved this place! Everything was clean, the bed was VERY comfortable, the staff was friendly and available and there were several convenience stores in walking distance. At $19 per night, it was also very affordable. The only negatives were that the shower room is in the basement (not that big of a deal though) and there's not much else to do in the area. Kyoto station is a short walk away though so it's easy to get on public transportation and go anywhere you want. I would definitely stay here again!
I really enjoyed this hostel, the staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms and bathrooms were cleanly and tidy. They care here. The common room on the first floor is very nice and we found ourselves hanging out here and met a lot of very cool people! I would definitely stay here again. It is also close to Kyoto station and there is a lot to do in the area, if you need anything theres a mall across the street and the bus stop is 500 feet from the door. Very secure and uses key cards to reach your floor and only your floor.
The staff are incredibly friendly, the amenities and facilities are good, although the bathrooms are on the bottom floor, this is a minor issue for me. The beds are comfortable and for the price it's good value. They will also keep your bags for you before checking in which is always great! However, the space you have is extremely small, especially if you are in a top bed it's so hard to get in and out if you're not very nimble. The dorm was also extremely hot, and not much ventilation there was a very bad odour the entire time. There are loads of beds in each room so it gets very cramped and loud. Like I said, it is a good hostel, but maybe just for 1 night, I couldn't stay here much longer.
We stayed in a private room but shared bathroom. The room was very small and there was no place to put anything other than the bed. There is a small sink. The floor was really cold so you have to wear slippers. The bathrooms were always clean which was really nice. The showers were comfortable and most of the time there was one available. We didn't do laundry but you can use the machines for a couple hundred yen. It's very close to Kyoto station and across from a big mall. Can recommend going there, it has a big food court and nice shops.
Very clean and nice hostel! The rooms were great, and there were plenty of showers, so no issues getting ready in the mornings or evenings. There's also a nice common area on the ground floor to relax or hang out. The only small downside is that the nearest metro is about a 10–15 minute walk. Overall, a great stay!
