I've stayed here a few times when working in a training venue nearby. The staff are really friendly and very helpful. It's in a great spot to access the different parts of Westminster. The rooms I have stayed in have been spacious,  comfortable, clean, and well set out. The problem I have with the rooms is the working desk area. The desk chair is just too low and not conducive to getting work done. When I stack up the cushions it is just uncomfortable and certainly not good for posture. Working when away on business is very important to me and so this lets down the hotel which is a shame. I've mentioned this on my previous stays but nothing has changed.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in February and were quite disappointed with several aspects. You could clearly feel the wind coming through the windows, which made it hard to stay warm and comfortable. Breakfast was included, but unfortunately, the coffee was AWFUL and barely drinkable. We asked for an espresso and we had to pay for it.

The bathroom had an alarming sign instructing guests to keep the door closed while showering to avoid setting on the fire alarm. This added unnecessary stress to what should have been a relaxing stay.

Overall, the location might be convenient, but the comfort and experience were far from what we expected.

Turned up at the hotel to find my booking had been cancelled.

I realised that this was the fault of booking.com and not the hotel, but I had phoned the hotel on the day of check-in to sort this and even offered to pay, to be told by reception that this was fine an payment was not required. A note would be put on my account to explain as we weren't checking in until the evening.

On arrival, not only had my booking been cancelled, but the hotel had not acknowledged my reservation via the phone. There were now no rooms of any type available and there was nothing further they could do.

This resulted in me paying an additional £400 (on top of the £700 I had allowed for the original booking), to find another hotel at 9pm that evening.

I will not be booking this hotel again and would advise others to look elsewhere for a more helpful hotel.

I Frankly, I did not like their treatment at all, even in the simplest requests that any hotel provides. There was one bottle of water and I asked for another because it was finished. He told me to pay money and the next day he did not provide it at all. The simplest services are not available in the rooms. The amount paid is more than the service and treatment, and it is clear that the hotel is old and they have not modified it.

Upon arrival, we had to wait 20 minutes just to check in. When we finally got to our room, we were shocked by how small it was compared to the pictures online—even the square meters were off. We immediately went back to reception to request a change, and they offered us an upgrade (for an additional £20 per night)…

The hotel consists of two wings, and we stayed in the second wing, which had an odd atmosphere.
•  There is a common room, but it’s always empty, giving the space an abandoned feel.
•  There’s a separate entrance to the wing, but it’s permanently closed, making it feel like you’re in some ghost section of the hotel that’s been forgotten.

To make matters worse, we stayed at the 5th floor, and the elevator was out of order. We had seen reviews from a month ago complaining about this and assumed it would be fixed by now. It wasn’t…

Room Experience
•  The larger room we moved to was decent in size, and the bed was comfortable.
•  However, the sheets were dusty, almost like the bed hadn’t been touched for days.
•  The shower took maybe 5min to heat up in the morning.
•  The AC pipes made loud noises throughout the night, to the point where we had to turn off the AC completely just to get some sleep.

Positives
•  The location is good.
•  The staff was professional and cordial.

In its current state, the hotel has huge accessibility concerns. We’re a young couple and had no issue climbing 40 floors throughout our stay, but we can’t begin to imagine what elderly guests or the cleaning staff have to go through every day.

On top of that, a lot of the infrastructure is outdated and needs proper investment to deserve the 4 star rating that the hotel claims to have.
