A really nice little pub, they allowed us to leave our luggage in the staff room before we were able to check in. Rooms were spacious and decorated nicely, with a comfy bed. There was only one hanger but we were only staying 2 nights so this didn't bother us, there was a fan in the room, we could open windows, there was a TV with basic channels but it had more things such as YouTube but we didn't make use of this. The shower was blocked when we first attempted to use it but somebody came and rectified this quickly once I'd said so. The shower was small, so I would bear that in mind if you're tall or larger than average, as I am 5ft 9" and slim, but I hit my elbows off the fixtures a few times and opted to turning it off and back on between lathering and rinsing. But I think it would be fine for most people, it didn't bother us much. Under the bed was very dusty too. But overall, considering the location, quality of the room, service from the staff and price, it's a great choice. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to big Ben etc. They also serve nice pizzas downstairs amongst other things and you get 10% off as a hotel guest.
The Ship Rooms offers basic yet comfortable accommodation near Lambeth North tube station. It's a good budget option for travelers prioritizing location and access to central London. Rooms are clean and functional, but some might find them a bit dated. Guests appreciate the friendly staff and convenient access to public transport. Keep in mind that there's no lift, so it might not be suitable for those with mobility issues. Overall, The Ship Rooms is a decent choice for budget travelers seeking a simple and convenient stay in London.
The staff were outstanding and so helpful, the room was lovely, clean and great amenities including a sweet jar which was a cute touch! It was centrally located and east access to central London without the higher costs and it was surprisingly quiet given the pub down stairs, we didn't hear a thing on a Saturday night. Highly recommend!
Very comfortable bed. Room was quiet and well stocked. I got clean towels midway through my stay. Staff downstairs in the pub were very friendly and welcoming. Such a great location will definitely be returning!
Stayed at this hotel after a concert at the spurs stadium and it was brilliant! Just a 30 minute bus journey from Liverpool Street which was stress free. The pub itself is lovely, really easy to check in, the ladies that work in the pub/hotel are so helpful and showed us to our rooms. The rooms are great, and there is access to coffee with fresh milk and water which is fab! We had some drinks in the bar before the concert and they were delicious.
