Nice hotel and clean room but there is construction at the back of the hotel. So noisy in the morning and the curtain is not blackout. Very bright at night time and during sunrise in the morning.

They lock you in at night, so if there is a fire you're not making it out alive.

I had an early morning flight which i mentioned when i checked in. They told me to just leave the key in the room and that's that.

Well, i woke up around 04:00 and was greeted with a locked sliding glass door (that had been broken and repaired probably for the same reason) followed by a galvanized steel bar gate with a padlock.

No way to open it, all windows in my room were  also barred shut with steel bars.

No one answered when i was calling or screaming for help. I luckily found a room on the top floor that was open and i could climb down from the roof, about a 3M drop to the ground.

Ended up almost missing my flight and losing my voice screaming for someone to open up. The whole ordeal took about 30-40 minutes.

The room was full of cockroaches and old hairs too.

I wouldn't stay here again even if they paid me to, absolute death trap.

I don't know how they took this level of evaluation, which made me do mistake by coming to them !!
First, they instructed us to take our shoes out in the entrance, so we thought that place is extra clean and quiet.. but we found the opposite:
- dirty bed sheets and towels
- low quality amenities
- street and other roomd noise make sleeping almost impossible.
- bad welcoming and no respect from reception.
- rooms and hotel photos not as you see in online.

In brief: doesn't worth the price at all

Hope they read it and do improvement and not to make others fall in the same experience

Penang is a very nice city for tourism

Room was average, shared balcony which I don’t like it because of privacy, I had to make sure curtains shut. I booked 3beds, but the room was very very small to accommodate 3 of us. They only give 2 towels. NO hair dryer, 3in1 soap was horrible. Bring your own, or do not stay here. You have to carry your luggage and walk behind the building, take your shoes off and climb stairs. The location of this hotel was good. The hotel staff will push you to rate them pointing on their table with QR code, not a polite request. If you give them 5 star they will give you a drink(not even a canned drink). They will force you to take a picture of you to proof that you are happy and got your drink. I didn’t like this.
