Modest Single Room: 2-6 Mar 2025 (4 nights) I had a wonderful stay here, very enjoyable experience overall. Given this is my first ever solo trip in my life, this hotel has become a very special place in my heart.❤️ I checked in on a Sunday earlier than 2pm but was given a key card right away without charging extra for early check in. Front desk staff spoke English. Room lived up to my high expectations, very clean, safe and cozy, nice river view (wasn’t too noisy since there was doubled-glassed window and I was at 8/F), excellent AC and humidifier, and the BEST part of the modest room is the exclusive EXTREMELY FAST WiFi and the Apple TV where I played YouTube and music on the television, best entertainment ever. Breakfast was worth the price. More than enough variety and the restaurant felt spacious and chic. Would be even better if breakfast ends at 11am instead of 10:30am. A little complaint about my room though. There were only 2 hangers for hanging clothes which is not enough. 4 hangers would be ideal. Also I don’t like the material used on the bed head where I lie onto while watching YouTube on tv, it didn’t feel clean and the fluffy texture makes it trap dust on it. Also would be better if there are 1-2 more USB-A or type C ports at the computer desk. Also would be more ideal if free late check out is offered instead of charging extra, given it was a Thursday morning. Overall great stay thank you!! Love from Hong Kong
Tokyo was our first destination on our honeymoon back in March this year , and The Gate Hotel was the perfect choice! Located in the heart of Ginza, the hotel is ideally positioned near the main train station, with easy access to amazing restaurants, clubs, and shopping. The hotel itself was comfortable, with fantastic amenities, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They were incredibly helpful and attentive, which made our time in Tokyo even more enjoyable. The hotel also has a great terrace to enjoy the Ginza skyline, although we had bad luck with the weather and couldn’t fully enjoy it. For anyone visiting Tokyo, especially for a special occasion, I highly recommend The Gate Hotel Tokyo!
It was my first trip to japan and was staying in Tokyo for 4 nights. Room was very clean and staff was very friendly. Extremely tasty restaurant attached to the hotel. The Local train station was only about a 5 minute walk very convenient to get around the city. Couldn’t recommend staying here more !
Good hotel to stay at in Tokyo if you are looking for a quieter location. The hotel is nicely located on the Sumida river and is
Great hotel to explore Ryogoku and Ausaksa. The rooms are large enough. Breakfast is delicious. Located next to a beautiful garden, lots of food options and of course the Kokugikan is across the street if you're coming for Sumo. No coffee shop in the hotel, but there is one directly next door. Only negative is there are very few hooks in the rooms and no drawers. We stayed for 5 days so some storage would have been nice. Beds were comfortable. Great shower. Thank you!
