We took the one bedroom residence and the room itself was spacious. However, the furnishings are not updated or being kept that well, but overall everything was considerably clean. Not a modern design and may need some improvements here and there. The balcony and view really excited the kids as they can see the Twin towers, TRX and KL tower all in one view. The TV only has basic Malaysia channels, no movies what sort ever; I think they are using something like MyFreeTV. The lobby I can say is just comfortable, not spacious or luxurious; just okay I would say. Indoor parking wasn't a problem though the driveway and ramp can be quite tight for bigger cars. We are used to this area and love the fact that they food area around the hotel area is abundant and with so many varieties. Grab service is easy to get and 7 Eleven and a good pharmacy is just downstairs. Will definitely come back here again for the convenience and value for money hotel room.

I always choose this hotel whenever I come to KL. The resident rooms are spacious and clean. The location is strategic, within walking distance to Kampung Baru for food. They offer a variety of breakfast options at a good price. They also provide free parking.

Review of My 2-Night Stay at Tamu Hotel Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur I stayed at Tamu Hotel Kampung Baru for two nights during Eid Adha, and overall, it was a pleasant experience—especially because of the hotel's unbeatable location. Situated right in front of a large mosque, it was incredibly convenient for the occasion. The hotel is also within walking distance of major city landmarks and surrounded by a variety of local food options, which made exploring and dining very easy. One of the best parts of my stay was the spectacular city view from my room. I had a clear, breathtaking view of KLCC, KL Tower, and even Merdeka 118—the second tallest building in the world. Waking up to that skyline was truly memorable and added a special touch to the experience. There were a couple of issues, though. The refrigerator in my room wasn’t working initially, but the staff responded promptly and replaced it right away—great service there. However, the cleanliness of public facilities could use more attention. I noticed a dead lizard in the children’s swimming pool, which was disappointing. The air conditioning in my room was also too cold, even when set to 28°C, and the temperature control didn’t seem to function properly. At times, I had to switch it off just to stay comfortable. On the bright side, the breakfast buffet had a generous variety of options, and the gym seems open 24 hours which is perfect for guests with different routines. In summary, Tamu Hotel offers fantastic views, a prime location, and responsive service. With some improvements in maintenance and cleanliness, it could be an excellent choice for both leisure and religious stays in Kuala Lumpur.
