This was my first time staying at Sunway Resort during a 3-night business trip (Corporate deal), and I have to say, I was impressed. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to help with anything I needed.

The room was very comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a long day of meetings. The breakfast buffet was a highlight—so much variety, fresh options, and everything tasted great. I also had a few business meetings in the lobby restaurant, and it turned out to be a great spot. The atmosphere was calm and professional, the service was excellent, and the food and drinks were just right.

Another big plus is the location, just a short walk to Sunway Pyramid Hotel and the shopping mall, which made it really convenient for grabbing a quick bite or picking up essentials. Overall, it was a smooth, enjoyable stay and I’d definitely come back again.

Absolutely amazing place! We loved our stay and Kasthuri made us feel like part of the family. Buffet breakfast had huge variety, pool was relaxing with plenty of seating and afternoon cocktails was fantastic. The room was huge and it was attached to a mall so great shopping as well. Would definitely stay again!

Had a fantastic family stay at Sunway Resort Hotel!
We stayed in the Waterventure Terrace Room, which offered direct access to the Waterventure waterpark , perfect for a fun and relaxing family getaway.
Started the day with a classy breakfast at Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill, and ended the night with their seafood buffet — fresh, flavourful, and truly satisfying!
The room was spacious and kid-friendly, and the whole experience felt luxurious yet comfortable.
Definitely a staycation to remember!

I would not recommend this hotel .Honestly, the lobby looks grand and impressive, but the room itself & staffs didn’t feel worth the price at all.

Few days before our stay, our original booking at Sunway Lagoon Hotel was suddenly cancelled without any notice. Instead, I received a confirmation email for this hotel. I had to spend an entire evening trying to figure out what had happened.

When we arrived late at night for check-in (we had already noted late check-in in our booking), there was only one staff member at the reception, busy attending to another guest. No one else came out to assist or even acknowledge us. After waiting for quite some time, a large group of Western guests arrived, and only then did more staff slowly appear and start assisting people. Is this some kind of discrimination?
Our room had such poor soundproofing that we could hear the breathing from the next room, and to make things worse, the smell of cigarette smoke (probably from an vape cigarette) came straight into our room. We ended up having to change rooms because of this. I called reception about the issue, but no one actually came to check. They just sent a doormen to move us to a different room.
After check-out, I didn’t receive the security deposit refund promptly, so I contacted the hotel by email. A staff member replied saying I would receive a follow-up email soon, but I never heard back. Fortunately, I eventually received the refund. For your reference, I haven't received any further mail until now.

The staff didn’t feel welcoming or friendly at all. Especially the reception staff and the team at breakfast Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill were so cold and unapproachable that we honestly felt like they were the guests, not us. The only people who showed real hospitality were the doormen and the breakfast buffet staff.

While getting an upgrade was lucky, if I had paid full price myself, I would have felt really disappointed. It feels like this hotel is all about showing off a fancy lobby, but that’s where it ends. That said, the only reason I’m still giving two stars is because, for reasons I still don’t know, we were given a complimentary hotel upgrade.
