First time staying here, and I got assistance from an employee with the self checkout as I was wondering why I had to pay an extra $100. Was told this was a "bond" for the room and will be given back to me when I leave. - Was told it can take 7-14 working days to be returned to me. 1st time for me doing that for accomodation. - Rooms are spacious - No element for cooking. - Has a safe to lock things up. - No sky channels, just basic free view channels. - Got a nice view of the roof of the ground floor. - Swipe card required to use elevator at all times. - Employees at the service desk were pleasant. Very helpful. Basic accommodation with the option to add more services to your stay. I was happy with what I got as I'm a minimalist, but I know a lot of people would expect more. As long a the bed is clean and bathroom is tidy then I'm good. I'll stay here again 8.3/10.

We arrived, check-in was easy, room was awesome, staff amazing as ever, housekeeping how good are they turning our room around in less than half an hour so I could go back and nap away some of the night before choices. Check-out was just as seamless. We came up for a show in the L3 theatre at Sky City, and we had an incredible time. Thanks for helping to make our weekend away a fantastic time, Sky City Hotel staff.

From the moment we arrived for our first stay at SkyCity Hotel we were struck by the amazing staff. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and helpful, passing on information with genuine interest and smiles. Very refreshing. Our room was on H4 down the end of a corridor and was well appointed and quiet. Very comfortable bed and a good bathroom. No mini bar & no robes. Bath towels were thin but there were 4 of them. A sparse supply of t-bags & we requested more. No water in room but complimentary water was supplied when we asked. Love the location and enjoyed Saturday morning shopping on Queen Street. We will happily stay here again.

This is the best hotel we could have chosen for our stay in Auckland. The rooms are nice and affordable compared to my city in my home country. The service is absolutely brilliant. I believe the only thing I can fault with this place is that the Chromecast on the TV's are a bit fiddly and doesn't always work but I'm happy to overlook that
