What an amazing place. We absolutely loved our stay at Ryokan Kiroshiki. The room was beautiful, the food was delicious (breakfast and dinner), and the service was exceptional. Expensive but we'll worth it for the experience. Highly recommend.

Food was 5*, the best sashimi we’ve has in our lives, in authentic cosy japanese ryokan surroundings. Room was lovely but loses a star for just being a bit pokey, banged our heads, and bed was always out away which inhibited afternoon naps etc. Staff were awesome and the garden and rooms are beautiful. No need to book the big bathroom as the room had a great one.

Really enjoyed my experience here. Yes it’s expensive, but the service and quality were unmatched. Each meal was cooked perfectly and was full of flavor. The staff was helpful and kind. And the amenities were clean and spotless. You’re really taken care of here. Plus you’re right in the historic district, so the location is perfect. I highly, highly recommend this place.

Located in the historic district, right along a canal, this ryokan has perfect views and is a great base for exploration. Our room was spacious and clean. Dinner service was one of the best meals we had on our trip.

Loved this place. In great location, right on the main street by the river, and in beautiful setting, captured all that’s is the best for a traditional ryokan. Comfortable rooms with excellent service. The Kaiseki dinners were excellent, same for the Japanese breakfast I selected. One can reserve the Onsen for a private use, a great option for travellers with tattoos, which was my case. Should I decide to return to the Kurashiki area again, definitely will be staying at Ryokan Kurashiki.
