We were 3 students on a city trip to NYC. When we arrived, our booking was cancelled (we had only payed the $90 deposit and thought we could pay the rest on arrival). The host let us stay anyway and helped us get the deposit back from hostelworld! Thank you! The rooms were fine, we were able to sleep, bathrooms were also fine and it was affordable. The host was very helpful, nice and honest. He even offered us another night for free because of the cancellation, which would've cost him more than $90. There are two floors, we stayed on the upper floor. Every door is secured with electronic locks.

Not sure about the bad reviews but my one night stay here was good. Did a late check-in at 6PM and the owner opened the door and did the payment on POS. Dorm rooms are clean, and rooms, restroom have electronic key entries and they make beeping sound and also says loud that the door is opened/closed. As there aren't many staying on my floor, having single bathroom wasn't a problem. Besides having only one restoroom and the key lock system making sound whenever we open/close, all went great for the price. But stop location is just 4-6 mins walk away and that's very comfortable if taking public transportation

Clean, quiet, and comfortable, with plenty of room in the capsule cabins. Owner has also been very flexible with checking out a bit later a few times and even allowed me to change cabins if I didn’t feel comfortable, which I really appreciated. I recommend staying there if you want a Manhattan alternative.
