Initially, I was warmly welcomed upon arrival. As soon as we entered the room, we noticed it was quite warm. We decided to leave temporarily with the air conditioning running. However, after staying for 3-4 hours, the room remained hot. Eventually, we informed the receptionist, who kindly allowed us to switch rooms at no additional cost, and she provided excellent service. ??

Loved my stay at the Oxford - it’s central and accessible, grab drivers know it and it’s near atms -100% recommend for the budget traveler .

The rooms are a little retro but clean enough staff were helpful in telling my what busses to get and late check in was acceptable:)

❌ Blatant Misrepresentation and Terrible Service
This hotel was a huge disappointment. We booked based on the attractive promotional photos showing large lobbies and working spaces—perfect for remote work. However, these photos are outdated (pre-COVID) and don’t reflect reality. The working spaces no longer exist, making the listing completely misleading.

The room itself was a nightmare. The pipes emitted such a strong odor that we immediately tried to open the windows for some relief. The shock came when we realized the windows were permanently sealed shut, leaving us trapped without any fresh air! The condition of the room was outdated and far below what you'd expect from a 3-star hotel.

To make things worse, basic amenities were missing. Although there was a kettle with tea and coffee, when we asked for a teaspoon to stir our drinks, the receptionist told us, "Sorry, we don’t have any." How can a hotel not provide a teaspoon? Even hostels offer better service!
The reception staff were unhelpful, constantly saying, "We can’t provide this due to management regulations." For the price charged, this experience was unacceptable. This place barely deserves 2 stars, let alone 3.

Avoid this hotel at all costs. False advertising, poor facilities, and terrible service—never again.
