We had a wonderful stay at Mount Lavinia Hotel with our family! The hotel has a truly timeless charm with its rich heritage and classic architecture that made us feel like we were stepping back in time. The kids absolutely loved the food – so many delicious options to choose from – and they couldn’t get enough of the beautiful pool. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. And of course, the location right by the beach is simply perfect. A relaxing, memorable stay for the whole family – highly recommended!

The meals here are absolutely heavenly — truly exceptional and unforgettable. However, the overall maintenance and bathroom amenities feel decades old which seem stuck in the past. Still, stays like this are the kind you never forget. If places like this were updated inside with a touch of modern luxury, they’d easily outshine many five-star hotels. No one would want to miss a stay at such a beautifully transformed heritage gem.

A truly unforgettable experience! Mount Lavinia Hotel perfectly blends colonial charm with modern comfort. The ocean view from the terrace is breathtaking, and the private beach is clean and relaxing. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive throughout our stay. Loved the historic vibe and the romantic story behind the hotel’s origins. Ideal for a peaceful getaway just near to Colombo. Highly recommended!

Beautiful hotel overseeing the ocean. Offers so many amazing views & the rooms were clean. The rooms feel slightly old & dingy, but the location makes up for everything
