47, Muntri St, Georgetown, 10200 George Town, Penang, Malaysia
I stayed here 5 nights and can definitely recommend it. Great location, close to restaurants and bars, but on a quieter street. Kent was wonderful, providing lots of advice and information when I asked. It's a bit rustic, but good value for money. And the cafe downstairs is a lovely spot to do some work from.
We spent a week here, taking our time to enjoy Georgetown at a leasury pace. This place was perfect for that. The street is very quiet, the shower on the roof is charming, internet is good and the room upstairs was big and comfy. Kent is very friendly and gave us nice recommendations for good places to eat and general infos about Malaysia. 5/5, would come again !
The vintage vibe of this cafe/guesthouse is really enjoyable, it feels like the place remained stuck 50 years ago but it’s so appreciable if you enjoy those kinds of out-of-times places. The owner was welcoming and nice, he also took some time to tell us about the house. The room’s vibe is similar to the rest of the place, it looks vintage and has a lot of light coming in, which makes it really pleasant. Last but not least, the two cats were absolutely lovely. This place probably doesn’t suit everyone, but if you like vintage cozy vibes, you’ll definitely find yourself really happy here !
