This is hands down the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at. I spent a total of three weeks here and it definitely became my second home. The location is excellent for exploring Taipei. The rooms, the kitchen the bathrooms, the showers the common area everything is modern and super clean. The cleaning staff does an amazing job each day. Finally the staff in the reception is amazing they were super helpful during my stay and it was a pleasure engaging with them. Already missing this place!

Great stay here! Facilities (showers, toilets, common area) were well-taken care of and maintained. Staff were also really friendly and ready to assist whenever needed! While i didn't get the opportunity to use it, the free flow coffee and tea was objectively great! The outdoor area was also a nice touch. Towels are provided, though other amenities (e.g. toothbrushes, etc.) aren't. Would stay here again if the opportunity arises!

Best place to stay in Taipei! Meander 1948 is in a historic building that has been aesthetically and carefully preserved, while creating a comfortable experience for guests. I stayed in a 4-bed mixed dorm for 3 nights, which was quiet and spacious. The shower and washroom facilities are clean and well-maintained daily. There’s a coin laundry with free detergent, which came in handy. Location is central and less than 10 minutes from Taipei Main Station (2-minute walk from the Y13 exit of the Taipei City Mall). As an added bonus, the staff are accommodating and helpful. Looking forward to returning here in the future!

Absolutely loved my stay at Meander 1948! The room was perfect – modern, spotless, and super comfortable, with thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and great local tips. One of the highlights was the breakfast voucher included with the stay – such a nice way to start the day. And the location couldn’t be better: central, convenient, and walking distance to great food, transport, and attractions. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Taipei – it’s the kind of place that makes your trip extra special.

absolutely fabulous hostel at a fabulous location! the beds are super wide and comfortable with a built in shelf and black out curtains, and the lockers are very big and convenient for storing your precious items. we had a leaking aircon in our room and the staff fixed it the same day—great service. ps. if you can go i would 100% recommend going on the tour with pj! he took us around skillfully, knew a lot, and was so nice!
