42 Oxford St, Collingwood VIC 3066, Australia
Clean boutique hotel in a lively district. Beds are very comfortable. Not much room for clothes so better for short stays. Rooms are not cleaned daily and you have to replace towels at reception. Price is good for what you get. Nice coffee shop next door. Just a short walk to the tram (86) into Melbourne which takes about 10 minutes.
Really enjoyed staying at Lyf Collingwood. Was pleasantly surprised by the design of the rooms which left them feeling larger and airier than their square footage let on. The property is very clean and appears to be quite new (which is nice) and location is unbeatable right in the centre of Collingwood with lots of restaurants, bars and cafes basically at your doorstep and everything Fitzroy has to offer within a 10-20 min walk. The communal kitchen was great to have for breakfast and the truth is you could make any whole meal easily in the space. The laundry machines were easy to use through an app (you get a 50% discount if you are a member of their "club" which also gets you a free coffee daily). Having access to the Anytime Fitness (3 min walk away) was also a big bonus. I'd definitely stay here again when visiting Melbourne.
Clean boutique hotel in a lively district. Beds are very comfortable. Room is small and claustrophobic even for one. Rooms are not cleaned daily, only at 3 days, and you have to replace towels at reception. Nice complementary coffee at reception. A short walk to the tram (86) into Melbourne CBD which takes about 10 minutes. Facilities to make your own meals. Table tennis and outdoor area to eat. The hallways lack signage for lifts, so on the floor, it can get confusing to find your way out. I did like the convenience of the area to nightlife and restaurants. An Anytime Fitness is not far from the hotel.
