First off, 'beach' resort is a bit generous - there is no beach here, only a thin strip of black volcanic sand emerges as the tide washes out. Yes, the rooms in the hotel are a bit dated but our towels were exceptionally clean and fluffy and our stay was comfortable. Checking in was a minimalistic experience (nobody to help with luggage) but staff were pleasant, friendly and professional. Food overall was good - the seared barramundi was EXCEPTIONAL ?? and breakfast was filling and had enough choice for a hotel of this size and budget (though nothing to write home about). The pool was the best thing, we stayed in there for hours, especially as the sun set over the horizon. It's a nice place to come for a relaxing stay/vacation. We didn't do any dolphin watching as we were concerned about the ethics of it and heard some pretty miserable stories from people who had done it before. Yes there are a few touts looking for business near the iconic Lovina swing and they will speak to you but they don't put any pressure on, and are happy to just chat with you if you engage. The lily pond is absolutely gorgeous, more people should go and enjoy it but it seems to be a hidden afterthought tucked around the side of the hotel. Stunning views over the mountains of Munduk, west Bali and even East Java on a clear day.

Absolutely loved my stay at Lovina Beach Club and Resort! The beachfront location is perfect — peaceful, beautiful, and just what you need to relax and unwind. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and always made us feel welcome and taken care of. The beach club had a great atmosphere with delicious food and drinks, and the sunsets were truly unforgettable. Overall, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. I’m already looking forward to coming back very soon!

This hotel is located in the middle of the paddy field and it has a very beautiful scenic view. However, it needs to improve its breakfast quality especially the coffee. The coffee is like a plain water. For the room, the hotel should provide other pillow choice to the guest. The existing pillow height is too high and is not comfortable at all.

Great place with amazing view. Very kind staff, amazing and affordable massages and the staff is doing everything they can to help you and keep the place clean. We were really happy with our choice. Cocktails were great too, they use store bought ice so go and enjoy the great view with a couple of happy hours cockatails.
