84 - 86 P. Hàng Gai, Hàng Gai, Hoàn Kiếm, Hà Nội 10000
We spent 3 nights at this hotel. We were very happy with our stay. The hotel staff were very well trained, polite and courteous and always helpful. We appreciated that so much during our stay. The breakfast is excellent, with nice views over Hanoi. There's a great choice both Western and Asian, the food is fresh and the quality is good. There's a very small gym (3 weights of dumbells and running machine), a sauna and stream room in the basement. There's also spa treatment available. These facilities were a great option and we used them a few times. The hotel was super clean. Our room was cleaned daily, complimentary water given and we had fruit given on day 1. Rooms are smaller than average for Vietnam but if you're used to staying in a city in Europe, rooms are a similar size, and we found ours large enough. It wasn't an issue. If you're worried about noise, stay at the back or side of the hotel. We going that to be nice and quiet. Location is great, walkable to all of the Old Quarter within 15 minutes.
Our stay at Le Chanvre hotel has exceeded all our expectations. The rooms are clean, neat, and beautifully decorated. And the location right in the center of Old Town is brilliant - we have been within walking distance to almost everything. The staff has been kind and accommodating. We especially want to highlight Andrew for his good mood and helpfulness. He always went the extra mile to help us with everything we needed. And always with a smile on his face and plenty of energy.
We spent two nights at Le Chanvre and loved it. I would stay again and probably wouldn’t try out any other hotels in Hanoi. The rooms are nice and beds are comfortable. The breakfast is absolutely delicious, and the coffee was some of the best I had during my month stay in SE Asia. The service throughout the hotel is also superb. We were impressed by all of the staff, especially those at the front desk and front doors. I look forward to being back in Hanoi someday and staying at Le Chanvre.
One of the best hotels I have stayed in. Located in the heart of old quarter it’s very convenient to roam around the area. The staff are extremely hospitable they even go beyond their ways to help service you. Specially the front desk, they are very warm and welcoming. The only draw back is that the soap and shampoo was not automatically replaced on the next day, but it was a minor detail. The restaurant staff are also extremely attentive, I find it a bit weird that the egg station is enclosed and you need to tell the waiter that you want to order eggs and Pho as it’s not readily available, but it’s forgivable as their Pho is really delicious. Also the waiters are really great. The room is also immaculate. It’s clean and spacious enough. The pool is quite small but it’s already enough to enjoy a quick dip and have a nice overview of the city. One downside is that they do not have a full gym, they do have an exercise room but it’s just a make shift extra room from the spa. So if you are looking for a hotel with a gym then don’t keep your hopes up. All in all it’s definitely a great place to stay in Hanoi, definitely value for money.
Located at the heart of Hanoi’s Old Quarter. The rooms were decent amenities, including minibar and most toiletries including toothbrush. Rooms weren’t soundproof though. The bathroom was luxurious, but the shower was a letdown its poor design caused water to spill and splashing onto the floor, creating a mess. The tub was also elevated which made stepping in and out quite dangerous. Non slip mat wasn’t provided a minor safety concern. The breakfast was a decent, small but with a varied buffet featuring tasty Vietnamese and Western options, including excellent beef pho. The staff was attentive, even packing a takeaway breakfast for early departures. The staff were exceptional, consistently friendly, and professional. Communicated in fluent english. Overall, Le Chanvre is a lovely hotel great location and staff, but fixing the shower issue would elevate the experience further. Or recommend staying in a room with just the standing shower might be better.
