Excellent hotel. Lovely rooms; very spacious. Was able to accommodate my 5 person family. There are renovations going on, but if you can look past that, the hotel is great. There’s a huge park right across the street where we were able to hang out with our kids every morning. Very clean. Staff incredibly accommodating even with our loud family. Would 100% stay here again.

The location is great! Two subway stations within 7 mins- 1 within a minute! The Government building where you can view the Tokyo skyline for FREE is right next door! The views from our rooms were amazing- the rooms were spacious enough- well done, and I really loved the ‘night mode’ on the lights! All lights get turned off and only the floor lights come on- dim enough to not be bother, but enough light so I don’t break a toe! The hotel was in process of renovating their lobby bar - it was almost ready, looking great! The highlight of the lobby were the 3 giant chandeliers and the gorgeous paintings behind the front desks! If you need to send your luggage they have the service right at the hotel- we had planned to stay at Hakone for 2 nights, so we sent 2 bags ahead to Kyoto for around 5000 yen, and travelled to Hakone and Kyoto with just backpacks! We did miss a swimming pool (really the hot tub) would have been great to soak after a long day out. We didn’t try the on site restaurants.

Excellent service. Close to the local and JR trains. Comfortable room. Wonderful bar. Breakfast was really good as well as the evening reception. Only thing I didn't like was the step up into the washroom - a few stubbed toes happened. ?

I stayed with points as with Hyatt's explorer for 4 days. I used a lounge cert for lounge access. I got the high floor(20th) king bed room, which is an upgrade from the queen bed room I booked, but I suspect they would have run out of that room at this point since it's near the end of renovation. The room size is average, the newly renovated decors looks pretty good. The main draw back of the room is lack of storage. There is no desk, instead, there is a table. But that means there is no drawer to store things, so they have to go on the ground or take up some space on the table. Not great for business trips. There is also some empty space that could use a lounger. The toilet looks nice but it misses many functions such as drying, auto open/close compare to other high end hotels. The breakfast in the sky room, which I suspect is temporary. The spread is pretty good but the quality of food is noticeably average compare to other high end hotels such as grand Hyatt Tokyo in the same family. Overall it meets my expectations for a Hyatt Regency.
