Rooms: The room is actually quite spacious and well appointed, and clean. I really love the shower's water pressure and the view is great. However the owner is pretty cheap on the way they renovate and operate, and extremely lack of details.They left so much empty space and wouldn't want to put a few extra piece of furniture, for instance there wasn't even a luggage rack in the room which is pretty unseen before for a Five Star hotel in Asia. Routers was left exposed, no real mini bar in the room, and bedding is very uncomfortable. As a globalist , the welcome amenity were a few fruits that looks like going to rot soon. The lobby too was way too empty, and short of seating places. I saw like 20+ guests standing around the lobby waiting but only 6 seats available and always occupied. Service: They are certainly trying their best for the breakfast, but there's a significant short of staff as clearing the plate is pretty slow. Also many dishes went empty and not refilled for half an hour. There's no concierge or bell service (but expected from the price tag I pay, 910cny per night). Location: it's pretty decent as its still considering walking distance to the bund. Having probably best location & view for the price tag you get.

I was there for my birthday with my boyfriend and we chose a room with a view of The Bund. The room was nice, clean, with a nice view overall, but only half to the bund. It was ok, although it was important for us because we were there, in Shanghai for a special ocassion. This hotel is impressive, it looks nice, it's modern, and well located, but it's huge. With so many rooms we noticed the staff couldn't keep up with our needs. We only asked for the view, which we paid for, and my boyfriend asked for their assistance to prepare some cake for me as a surprise for when we arrive in the evening. But they forgot. Eventually at 11 pm when we arrived at the hotel my friend went out to find someone to get me some cake, because it wasn't in the room as planned. Anyway, it worked out somehow eventually. I like the comfort of the bed and the room itself. The breakfast though, could really use some improvement. The breakfast room looks dark and crowded, although the hotel itself is very spacious. The food was very good, like most chinese food, but nothing over the top like other hotels of this caliber. Also, the staff was stressed, in general, especially at breakfast. Overall, with some minor hickups , I do recommend this hotel, and I think it's a nice choice for Shanghai.

We had a great stay at this hotel. It is located in the North Bund area, close enough to the main Bund attractions, but far from the overwhelming crowds. Best of all, it offers a breathtaking view of the Shanghai skyline. If possible, request a room in the left tower for the best views of the Oriental Pearl Tower. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained. Service and staff met expectations throughout our stay. We also made use of the gym, which was large and well-equipped with a wide variety of machines. An added bonus was the indoor heated pool, which made for a relaxing experience. There could be some improvements in the lobby. During our stay, the hotel hosted several conferences, so the area was constantly busy and crowded. Seating in the lobby was especially limited, with literally only six chairs, which felt quite insufficient given the number of guests. Breakfast was another highlight. It featured an impressive spread with a wide range of international cuisines and many seating to accommodate many guests. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay and we would gladly return.

Great location, clean and safe. Just a quick 5 min walk into the main tourist area on The Bund. Arguably the best view in the city on the roof top bar. The staff was great as well, i can't remember the skinny girls name who works at the bar up top but she provided great service.
