Felix at the front desk is always a pleasure such a friendly person after a long trip. Very welcoming. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Showers have great hot water. They have a breakfast buffet for a fee also delicious. With an indoor pool and jacuzzi as well as a fitness center. Walking distance to the movie theater and a beautiful park. Out of the way and quite definitely recommend.

Dante at reception is wonderful! Room was ready and had the AC on and room cooled off when we arrived, which was awesome cause it was a very hot day. Room was clean, and conveniently located right off the highway. Free parking is also a huge plus. Would definitely return

I’m writing to report a deeply disturbing experience at Hilton Garden Inn Ridgefield Park on the night of June 7, 2025. I booked a room for my sister and her two sons, ages 10 and 15, as they were attending a concert nearby and needed a safe place to stay.

Despite notifying the hotel in advance of their late arrival, I was shocked to receive an email at 11:40 PM stating the reservation had been canceled due to “insufficient funds” and that there were no more rooms available. My sister, who has difficulty driving at night, was already en route. I called the hotel and was told she needed to now use her own card and call to confirm she was definitely going. Thankfully, she was eventually allowed to check in, even though they stated there were no longer any rooms in the email. But the problems didn’t end there.

The room was in unacceptable condition smelling of urine, with mold on the curtains, and no snacks or drinks as promised in the booking package.

Even worse, my sister and her young son were approached in the elevator by a strange man who asked invasive questions (he wanted to know where my nephew got his chain from), then followed them into the lobby store, standing so close he was touching their shoulders. The front desk clerk had to ask him to back away. My nephew was so uncomfortable that he left his items and quickly went back to the room with his mother.

Fearing for their safety, my sister stayed up until 4 AM when my husband drove from Queens to bring them to their vehicle. Disturbingly, the same man was still loitering in the lobby, speaking with the receptionist. He was not a guest but claimed to be waiting for “three girls” and knew their room number.

This is a major safety and security failure. Non-guests should never be able to roam freely and interact with families staying on your property. My family was traumatized, and we paid $330 for a room they felt unsafe to sleep in.

As a Hilton Honors member, I am appalled. I will be canceling my membership and will not return to Hilton properties unless this is taken seriously. I expect a full refund and assurance that security policies at this location are reviewed and corrected.

I recently stayed at this hotel with my family for the Beyoncé concert, and I have to say, our experience was quite disappointing. For $250 a night, it simply wasn’t worth it.

To start with, there were only two elevators, and one was broken, which made getting around the hotel a hassle. When we first checked into our room, I was shocked to find large brown and yellow stains on the mattress. It was definitely not the clean and comfortable stay we had hoped for, so we asked to be moved.

The staff kindly gave us a new room, but then there was another issue: my digital key was still linked to the old room. It created a bit of confusion that we didn’t need after a long day.

In the new room, the towels were old and worn out, and we found mold in the shower. To top it off, there was only one washcloth for the entire family. Plus, there were scratches and scrapes on the walls, making the place feel neglected.

I have stayed a multiple Hilton properties, as a timeshare owner and a rewards member and I have never had any issues like this during my stays. Overall, our experience was pretty disappointing, especially since we were excited about the concert. I hope this hotel can improve these issues for future guests, because at this price point, the experience should be much better.

Recently i stayed at The Hilton Garden Inn in Ridgefield Park, NJ.
The initial reason for selecting this location was proximity to event we were going to & affordability.
The check in went smoothly, our room was clean & the beds were very comfortable.
However our TV did not work due to no service?
The water pressure in the shower was literally a trickle of water.
Would I recommend or go back here, i would not. There are plenty of other hotels in the area that may be more expensive but basic amenities such as shower and TV are things that should be provided as a guest.
