Even though it was off season (Feb) we were very lucky with weather & even waves. We had the beach basically to ourselves, with the point break for surfing just in front of our cabana. Due to the quiet season, we had the opportunity to exchange a lot with Rassa and learned about the country, its culture and food. We love Rassa‘s open-hearted & kind nature. He is a really great cook who prepared us with amazing local food and made it an unforgettable stay in Sri Lanka. Wishing Rassa and the lovely dogs Romeo & Mokka all the best.

Really can’t say enough good things about Hilltop Cabanas. The rooms are beautiful. The location is beachfront. The service/food is top notch. Rassa is a terrific host cooking delicious breakfast, lunch, dinner each day. Highly recommend for those looking for a few days “away”

We are a family with a child of 5 years old who were looking for a quiet, relaxed and place with nature to disconnect. Hilltop cabanas was exactly that and more. Beautiful beach with lots of nature around, we even saw elephants in the backyard once! Rassa was a big part of our positive experience. Really nice, genuine and humble person. Excellent cook who made us feel at home. Our daughter was so happy to see his tricks and see him dance ! We were not far from Aragam bay where my daughter took surf lessons so it was perfect. Thank you Rassa!

We had a great time at Hilltop Cabanas. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location is amazing, right on the beach. There are plenty of shaded beds to relax on the beach. The food was great and the beachfront bar is a perfect location to eat and watch the waves. The managers were super friendly and helped us arrange anything we needed. I feel they made a great effort to make sure we had an enjoyable stay.
