One of the best hotel stays I've ever had. The rooms have a beautiful, zen style and the whole hotel is very peaceful and cozy. The staff is very friendly and offer a complimentary cocktail every evening and fresh breakfast is included every morning. Incredible value for money. Also, the restaurants directly across the street are great. We ate at the barbecue place twice, the spinach noodle spot were lovely, and we regret not making it to the hotpot restaurant.

A truly exceptional boutique inn, right in the heart of Xian. It’s on a quiet alley that comes alive at night with a delightful little BBQ restaurant that delivers food you can enjoy in the breakfast area. There’s a Japanese vibe, complete with a formal tea house on the fourth floor where you sit on the floor and listen to jazz music as you sip white tea at no extra cost! There’s a simple free breakfast, but they also offer free cappuccinos throughout the day. At night they offer a free glass of wine or gin and tonic, also in their breakfast area, where guests can sit together and chat about their travels. The name of the hotel suggests this is a youth hostel but it isn’t like any other youth hostel I’ve ever stayed at. They do have a few hostel rooms, but most of the rooms are private single or doubles. The beds are very comfortable, there’s air conditioning and video projectors in every room, and even Toto toilets with a remote control with a bidet function! The staff are exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Everything about this place is first class, even though it has an off-the-beaten-path quality. I visited in May 2024 with my wife and son. It is one of the highlights of our visit to China. I should add that the place was recently renovated and everything feels brand new. The pictures in some of the other reviews are out of date.

I loved everything about this place and I just found a hidden gem in China. I travelled in many countries and here is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. I booked a single room but I got a free upgrade during the green season. The hotel was so generous. Staff speaks good English. Yes, I called a hotel, not hostel because it was like a boutique hotel rather than a hostel. The hotel has a free and good breakfast, while offering free water, soft drinks, and snack all days and night long plus free complimentary drink as well. The room was so sparking clean. The room was well equipped with facilities and bed was so comfy. I really enjoyed sleeping on that bed. The room design was minimalist style and I loved that. The location was surrounded with residential neighborhood, mini marts, cafes, restaurants, and 5 minutes walks to metro and a couple minutes more to Bell tower. So convenient. Highly recommended and I would give it 6 stars instead of 5.

Its a very great place to stay, highly recommend for solo backpacker and even for couples, it suits. A little inside the alley, and the signboard mark upside the building. I didnt saw it when i came. The architecture, design and layout is magnificent. Cozy, you will like it. 4 thumbs from me. 5 stars in my heart.

Simply an incredible hostel. I’ve been to almost 40 countries across every continent staying almost exclusively in hostels, and this is the best value for money accomm I’ve experienced. Great location near all the happening city sights but far enough away to be peaceful at all times, very friendly and helpful staff with really decent English ability in comparison to anywhere else in China (even most of the tourist spots) who are happy to help plan your activities, clean and modern facilities including electronic locker, rainwater head shower with incredible water pressure and hipster cafe style decor throughout the building. Included solid all you can eat breakfast with lots of standard options (mostly continental, some local), free snacks of all kinds where you can try plenty of Chinese treats and still eat some fruit for health, included daily coffee made from an actual machine (easily the best one I’ve had in China), annnd one included cocktail per night? Wow. It’s not the most social in the lounge area as many of the guests are in groups, but you’ll be put as a solo traveller with other solo travellers in a room so it’s easy to make friends still. I probably sound like I work for them, but if you’re considering booking elsewhere, seriously go find something blunt preferably not terracotta warrior sized, hit yourself in the head with it, then book your stay in Xi’an here.
