We stayed at the Hanoi City Backpacker Hostel and had an excellent experience from the start. Nestled in the heart of the city, this hostel is ideally located on Old Quarter Road in Hanoi, making it one of the best places to stay. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and warm. At the end of our trip, we made the mistake of leaving a key item behind at the hostel after arriving at the airport. We immediately reached out to the staff, and a special thanks goes to Hung, who was exceptionally efficient and helpful in ensuring our forgotten item was returned. Despite the airport being a 40‑minute drive away, Hung made sure we received our luggage in time. I highly recommend this hostel to everyone.

Great location and very clean hostel. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and the rooms were cleaned everyday. Breakfast everyday was good and had speedy service. Only issues we had was with our bathroom, with a broken shower holder and bad smells.

Me and my friend booked to stay here for one night after staying in hostels double the price we wanted somewhere cheaper. We ended up extending our stay for another 6 nights. The place is simple but has everything you need. Air-con (that doesn't have a restriction on when it can go on) the bedrooms and bathroom cleaned every morning. Tea was a little gem, over the past 6 days he made us feel like family :) The rest of the staff are quiet but friendly. Breakfast is simple eggs (how you like them) / pancakes / fruit and coffee/tea. The bunk beds are the size of a bed + 1/2 and so comfy. I have no faults with this place and for the price I'm very impressed. Also location is perfect! Thanks for a wonderful stay ❤️

Staff was super nice and helpful. Rooms were super cheap and honestly for the price you're paying, they were great, though nothing above/beyond the basics. Free breakfast was yummy and quick. Overall it was fine, and fairly quiet for a hostel. Bathrooms left something to be desired, but not terrible. Wifi unfortunately did not work while we were there. For the price however, I'd stay again.
