This hotel is great value for money. I traveled with my family of 4 adults and a 6 years old kid. The total cost was 1.4 million VND (about 60$) for a night with a decent room. The room was small but enough. Things were clean, bed was comfortable. They had flowers on my bed when i checked-in, which is kinda cute. They have a roof with great view that I forgot to picture, but it has dim light with a nice chill atmosphere and a view of the ancient town. I came here in the lunar new year night. The staff was cool as he treated us with a small party in the new year night. He gave us some tips about travelling while we eat some Vietnamese traditional food and drink beer together. The only problem is the parking space. This hotel have no parking space so I recommend contacting the hotel to discuss how you can park before coming. Highly recommended.

We stayed 10 nights at Golden Sun and were happy with the room and service. Best of all is the location, being a street away from the best market/street shopping in the old quarter, the water puppet show and the lake. The hotel itself is quiet and the breakfasts ensured we had a good start to the day. They arranged our trip to Tam Coc and airport transfers. They can also help with travel to Ha Long if needed. We used their laundry service which was fast and efficent. I would recommend to anyone who's looking for value for money and a great location.

We enjoyed staying here and wished we booked for longer, it is close to everything and we had breakfast included which was a huge bonus for our large family, rooms are large and clean, we enjoyed the balcony, there was a lift which is helpful for baggage, there is a school on one side meaning you will definitely get a peaceful nights sleep and shops down the bottom (not restaurants) so it is less busy on the road. We only stayed at the Golden Sun Hotel for a few hours, but the experience was pleasant and hassle-free. The host was welcoming and kindly allowed us to check in early, which we really appreciated. The staff were also very helpful and went out of their way to assist us — they even offered to bring the item we accidentally left behind directly to our bus heading to Sapa. When we picked up our stuff a few days later, the host greeted us with the same warmth from Day 1. Great service in a short stay!

Lovely place to stay, great staff especially Tom who always meets you with a smile and is very helpful. Really enjoyed the breakfast! Great location if you like the hustle and bustle of the old quarters of Hanoi.
