We like the two pools - one by the breakfast bar overlooking the sea and the circular one right behind the rooms. The road in front was badly damaged from abrasion and is now being rebuilt. The place is quiet, airy, and not far from the harbor. You would need to walk a bit to the east to get to a sandy beach to snorkle.

I accidentally booked my accommodation on the wrong Gili Island, but that turned out to be a very happy accident when I found Gili Lagoon Resort. The staff welcomed me warmly, especially Aris, who played guitar and sang with me, instantly lifting my mood. Despite my early morning dive at 7:15, they made an exception and prepared breakfast beforehand. After my last dive, they kindly allowed a late check-out so I could shower and pack comfortably. The resort itself is beautiful, with stunning villas and a restaurant overlooking the ocean. The hospitality, flexibility, and warm atmosphere made my stay truly unforgettable.
