273 W 38th St, New York, NY 10018, United States
Location, cleanliness, price and functionality are top notch. Hot shower, cold AC, beds are comfortable. Staff is awesome and friendly. Our flights came in early and they let us check in early so we didn't have to carry our luggage around the city. Location is perfect, we walked everywhere and got to see so many wonderful things about Manhattan. I highly recommend staying here if you are on a budget and want to see New York! Also, I am a Doxie owner, so I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else?
Let me just say the service itself has earned 5 stars, even though the stay wasn’t the most desirable condition. The young man and the young lady (different shift) were both very friendly and accommodating, nothing is too much trouble for them. We arrived 6/4 Wednesday afternoon and the young man checked us in and interacted with us every time with a big smile courteously. On 6/6 when we were due to check out, the young lady helped us tremendously after we found out our flight was canceled, we were able to rebook and found alternative transportation to a different airport because of her generous time given to us. Thank you both, and sorry I didn’t get their names, it was so busy with tourists lining up to check in/out. There’re 3 of us (2 kids) and we stayed in a room with 1 single and a bunk. The room is extremely small, although enough for just a quick 2-night stay. It’s clean and has everything one needs - simple toiletry items and a mini fridge, and everything worked (shower, toilet, lights, beds). The noise is really bad, the siren, cars honking, engine raving, truck loading/unloading, and people arguing LOL. That’s the downside of being in such a convenient location, the heart of Midtown/Times Square with high tourist and traffic volume. The rent was really high for the nights we stayed ($400+ per night including tax and fee) but others were higher so it was still cheaper than most. Overall I didn’t feel the value was there but it was bad luck for us visiting at wrong time (high demand).
I recently stayed at Doxie hotel, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. My room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The location was perfect — close to all the main attractions and public transport. I especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which had a wide variety of delicious options. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. I’ll gladly come back again!
We left our luggage at the hotel for a few hours after check-out, and everything went smoothly. The staff was friendly and helpful, and our belongings were kept safe and secure. It was a convenient and stress-free experience. Thank you for the great service!
This hotel was everything we needed to enjoy our stay! We were barely in the room and it did what needed to be done. Our room was very clean and presented exactly like the pictures. If you're too picky then this one isn't for you. We were only in the room to sleep, shower, and dress to go back out. The hotel is super close to everything....Times Square! Even close to the Subway! The staff were very welcoming. There were 2 windows but we couldn't see out of it and it brought in absolutely no natural light but it didn't bother us. Only bad thing I can give this hotel was the water (shower/sink) would be warm one day, hot then turn cold the next day, and then next day was super hot! So the water temp wasn't consistent. Also, every night coming back to our room the key card deactivated. We were told it would do that near a credit card but the second day we kept the card away from that and it still didn't work. We had to go back to desk for them to reactivate. These two would be the only reason I gave 4 stars. Oh, and the elevator was super tiny! The tiniest I've ever been in probably.....LOL just use the stairs!! Now, would I stay at this hotel again...... ABSOLUTELY! As other reviews said they store away your luggage before and even after checkout for free if staying there. They even store others luggage at a fee if they didn't stay there. I love that! Definitely give this hotel a try if you don't care to spend $$$$$ just to lay your head down and shower. Trust me you will not be in the room long because there's so much to see in NYC! Oh by the way.....other reviews stated they couldn't sleep because of noise...... fyi....we slept like a baby with absolutely no noise heard and the bed/pillows were comfortable!!!! Thank you Doxie Hotel!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
