9 Namdaemun-ro, Jung District, Seoul, South Korea
Outstanding, 10/10 recommend this property for anyone visiting Seoul. The location is perfect, walking distance to many attractions, street markets, eateries and subway. The interior is very luxurious and secure, the people who work there are very knowledgeable, polite and accommodating. The food inside the hotel is outstanding with a wide range of selections, everything is fresh and the menu even tells you where your meat comes from. The interiors of the room are beautiful and well appointed, with heated toilet seats, free water filtration system and rainfall shower head just to name a few. The beds are just heavenly, I slept so sound and comfortable. We will definitely not hesitate to stay here again!
I had an excellent two night stay here! Upon check-in a manager came to welcome me and thank me for visiting their hotel — which has never happened for me at any other Marriott. I was given a nice little gift basket too. The rooms are well appointed with everything you would expect from a hotel in this class. The hotel is either new or recently updated— and a beautiful hotel it is, with a large open atrium. The staff were very kind as well. The business travel or tourist will not be disappointed with this hotel. My only criticism — and this is stretching it — is that the hotel is a bit further than I expected from the train station. I was satisfied enough that I will take the walk (which I think runs around 10-15 minutes).
I have to say i am surprised by this Courtyard. As it's not JW tier. I did not have much expectation. To my surprise the rooms were spacious and quite modern. Location was not the best, but it's still close enough to some sites. Would I recommend this place? Yes, definitely at this price point. It was just right without spending too much. Check-in is on level one, and the ground floor is where you enter. There are many eateries on the back and a GS25 (convenience store) just next door. Hope this helps you consider the hotels around Korea.
I loved my stay at the Courtyard Marriott! The service was top-notch, and the breakfast buffet was amazing. They had tons of options - made-to-order omelets, noodles, fried eggs, fruits, veggies, salads, and plenty of bakery items. Plus, there were juices (though not fresh-squeezed), yogurts, cereals, and all the fixings. The breakfast area was huge and the staff were super friendly. I wasn't a huge fan of the waffles, but hey, they're there if you like 'em. And the best part? You can customize your noodles and omelets to your heart's content. The price might seem a bit steep at around $25, but trust me, the spread is worth it. It's a great spot for families, too - I saw a few kids running around. The location is super convenient, with shops and attractions within walking distance. Plus, it's safe and has a great view from the higher floors (22 in total!). One pro tip: if it's raining (and it did rain a lot during my stay!), you can borrow an umbrella from downstairs. All in all, a solid Marriott experience in a great city with friendly people. Would recommend!
Comfortable and great stay. Beef bibimbap could do with more beef but overall enjoyed my room dining. Walkable distance to myeong dong is a plus!
