Chongwenmen hotel have recently been my preferred hotel for brief accommodation in the capital city. The hotel itself is a bit worn out, but fine for the needs of our family, and the price is welcoming. The service is good and the suite rooms are great for stay ins or guests as they have seperate rooms. The WIFI is terrible though, and works best if at all in the lobby. What is really good about this hotel is the location though. Chongwenmen is one of our favorite districts, and nearby (just next to the hotel), is a wide array of malls, restaurants and shopping opportunities. The subway is right below the hotel, and it is easy to get a taxi from this location. Something that can be tough at times, in Beijing.

Located in Beijing, China, not far from Tiananmen Square. You can catch 2 different subway lines to the hotel. Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City / Imperial Palace is only 1 stop away. There are a few shopping malls near the hotel and lots of local restaurants. Hotel service is good, rooms very clean.

Before you pay/check in, ensure the beds are okay & soft. Generally the rooms were okey. The location is fabulous as it is close to the train station & shopping centers besides. There might be better options!
