Rooms was clean and spacious. Breakfast good. hotel located in integrity area, wich is easy access to get some food, 24h convenience store, good for business, nearby fery terminal. Very humble staff, always ready to serve, they have free shuttle and pick up service from fery terminal with buggy. Very satisfied and recomended. Will be back to stay at this hotel.

I only stayed here for one night in transit, but was very happy with the experience. Large clean room, friendly staff, great location a short walk from the horizon ferry pier and the value is excellent.

Studio room is comfortable, however there's no window. It comes with a mini fridge & safe. Toiletries, hair dryer & indoor slippers are provided. Wifi & TV signal is good. Aircon works well. Bathroom is clean enough, with a shower area that's half-partitioned. Water pressure is strong. Space-wise is quite ok except layout makes the walkway between bed & wall-mounted TV very narrow. Bed is comfortable for me. Overall cleanliness is good except for some water stains & mold on the ceiling. Sound-proofing is not so good, could hear noise loudly from the lobby. Housekeeping did a good job, and front desk staff helpful. There is a massage shop & restaurant within the hotel. Strategic location within the ferry terminal compound. Less than 5-mins walk from the terminal complex. The area has quite a few F&B options especially plenty of seafood restaurants, plus convenient stores like Circle K , Indomaret & Alfamart. No major shopping malls within vicinity but hotel provides free shuttle to nearby malls. Nice area to see sunset along the promenade. If weather good, may get to view Singapore's skyline. There are also many people jogging in the evening. My stay at the hotel was enjoyable.

I booked 2 rooms for the family and they gave me rooms on different floors. However, after I requested, the front desk manager was quick to oblige and arranged for another room on the same floor. The rooms look newly refurbished and are very spacious. You can actually fit 2 adults and 2 to 3 kids in the same room, but I'm not sure if that's allowed. Although the rooms are newly refurbished and are equipped with cable TV, mini fridge and powerful air-conditioning, the bathrooms look dated and worn out. There's also a rather strong smell of air freshener or mothballs in the room and bathroom. When we're there, the hotel rooms didn't come with slippers and hairdryer. Shampoo and body wash were provided through a dispenser in the bathroom, so we ended up buying our own from a convenience store. We didn't pay for the hotel breakfast but there are plenty of options nearby, such as the Morning Bakery and the Harbour Bay ferry terminal which are both within walking distance. There are also 3 convenience stores around the hotel where you can buy snacks, drinks, coffee and hotel food. If you want to explore places outside of this area, the hotel provides a free shuttle bus service at 3-hour intervals from 10am or you can get a Grabcar easily.

Batam Harbour Boutique Hotel & Spa - Great Service, But Know What You're Getting Into I've just finished two stays at Batam Harbour Boutique Hotel & Spa, and I must say this one's a bit of a mixed bag. There's a lot to love here, but also some serious considerations depending on what kind of traveller you are. Let me give you the full picture. The Outstanding Positives I have to start with the staff because they truly made this stay memorable in the best way. Every single person I encountered - from front desk to housekeeping to restaurant staff - was not just helpful, but genuinely seemed happy to be there. That kind of positive energy is infectious and really sets the tone for your whole experience. The housekeeping team deserves special mention. My room was impeccably cleaned every single day, and I mean properly cleaned, not just tidied up. After some disappointing experiences at other Batam hotels, this was such a relief. They clearly take pride in their work, and it shows. The breakfast buffet was honestly one of the highlights of my stay. Great variety, fresh food, and everything was well-maintained throughout the morning. I actually looked forward to breakfast each day, which isn't something I can say about every hotel. The shuttle service to the malls is fantastic and really convenient. No need to worry about transport or haggling with drivers - just hop on and you're there. This kind of service really adds value to your stay. Location Pros and Cons The proximity to the ferry terminal is definitely handy, especially if you're planning trips to Singapore or Malaysia. Just make sure you know which ferry terminal you need - there are two different ones in Batam serving different destinations, so double-check your bookings to avoid any last-minute rushing around. The Deal-Breakers (Depending on Your Needs) Here's where things get tricky, and I want to be completely upfront because these issues could make or break your stay. First, the smoking situation. I'm really puzzled why Indonesian hotels and restaurants aren't smoke-free environments. As someone with asthma, this became a real health issue for me during my stay. The smoke seemed to linger in common areas and sometimes drifted into corridors, and your room, which made breathing difficult and affected my overall comfort. The Noise Reality Check This is the big one, and I cannot stress this enough: if you're a light sleeper, this hotel might not be for you. The walls are incredibly thin - I'm talking paper-thin. You'll hear conversations, TVs, and pretty much everything happening in neighbouring rooms. But the real challenge is the location. The hotel is situated in the nightclub district, which means you're dealing with constant noise from cars and motorcycles throughout the night. The real kicker is the thumping bass from nearby nightclubs that goes on until around 4 AM. I'm not exaggerating - it's like having a subwoofer going off nearby for hours. I managed with basic earplugs, but honestly, I think I'll need to invest in some serious noise-cancelling gear if I stay here again. If you're someone who can sleep through anything, this won't bother you. But if you need quiet to rest properly, this could ruin your trip. Would I Return? Here's the thing - despite the noise issues, I would actually stay here again. The service is just that good, and the overall experience (minus the sleep disruption) was excellent. But next time I'll come prepared with proper earplugs and maybe request a room as far from the street as possible. Bottom Line This hotel does a lot of things really well - the service, cleanliness, breakfast, and convenience are all top-notch. But you need to know what you're signing up for with the location. If you can handle the nightlife noise and don't have breathing issues with smoking environments, you'll probably love this place. The staff alone make it worth considering. Just be realistic about your needs and come prepared if you decide to book.
