I arrived at the hotel yesterday after a long 12-hour journey, hoping to receive a warm and welcoming check-in experience. Unfortunately, the receptionist’s attitude was extremely disappointing. She spoke to us in a dismissive and disrespectful manner, repeatedly suggesting we find another hotel, and made us feel as though we were not welcome — despite having a confirmed and paid reservation. It was the most unprofessional and unpleasant service we encountered during our 21 days in Thailand.
While the rooms are indeed spacious, they were not clean. We encountered various insects in the room, similar to those we saw at the front desk upon arrival. Overall, this was not the standard we expected, and it significantly impacted our experience.

Definitely Not for Responsible Adults
I don’t know what kind of guests this hotel has had before, but clearly they’ve dealt with problematic ones — to the point that they now charge you for everything down to the pillowcase. Of course, no normal person would steal a pillowcase, but come on — items like pillowcases, sheets, glasses, or even chairs are all part of the accommodation. But this hotel treats each and every one of these as your personal responsibility.

So basically, you might want to inspect the entire room before you even check in and document anything that’s damaged — otherwise, they’ll pin it on you.

At check-in, the only thing they mentioned was a 500 THB fee if you lose your room key. When I asked why a simple key card for a room that costs around 1,400 THB per night would carry such an absurd replacement cost, they fumbled a bit and eventually let it slip — it’s actually a tactic to prevent guests from sneaking in extra people. Apparently, 1 guest is allowed, but if you want to bring more, you’re charged 500 THB.

So I guess some guests in the past tricked the hotel by claiming they lost their cards, and now this is the hotel’s “solution.” I personally had no intention of bringing guests, so I didn’t care much — but it never occurred to me that I might actually lose the card.

Unfortunately, I lost the key card on the first day. I didn’t want to pay the unreasonable fee, and for 3 days they refused to give me a new card. I had to be escorted to my room each time by staff, and I had to figure out makeshift ways to keep the electricity running without the card.

And despite all that, since I had given them a 1,000 THB deposit at check-in — trusting the hotel, of course — they simply deducted the 500 THB at check-out. No key card for 3 days, yet they still took the money.

When I asked to speak with a manager about this, I was told no one was available.

It would have been nicer experience if not some things since the hotel seems to be stuck in last century. 1000 baht deposit in cash only. 350 baht for breakfast cannot be paid with credit card as the minimum they have set 500 for card payments. The pool was closed for cleaning. Rooms were big and comfortable though the Mountain View rooms face a busy road.

Stayed here for two nights in a slightly upgraded room that was really just the regular room with a double size balcony.  The room was clean but a little dated, good location & staff.  Good, not great for 1600B per night.  3.5 stars
