We stayed at this hotel one night before we flew home from Auckland. Check in was easy and fast. The room was clean and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was clean and I appreciated that there was shampoo, conditioner and soap to use. There was a step up into the shower which was not a problem but if you have mobility issues, this might be difficult. We had breakfast at the hotel and it was nice to see a traditional NZ breakfast and was really convenient for us before leaving for the airport. The hotel is across the street from a nice park with many rosebushes and was nice to walk in. I used the off street parking and it was free and very convenient. They were doing some remodeling but it wasn't noisy and didn't bother me at all. Overall, we were very happy with our stay.

Very clean quiet room. Very much appreciated the breakfast included offer. The raised shower, not level with the floor could be a hazard. The shower itself was very nice. The chairs in the dining area need better feet, perhaps some quietening material as any sliding movement on the tiled floor created a loud grating noice. The breakfast was good as was the evening dinner option. Lovely views out over the rose park.

We stayed only 1 night in early February, & it was a very pleasant experience. Very clean & comfortable accommodations, staff were pleasant, & surprisingly quiet, even with the adjacent busy street. Concierge kindly held out baggage after checkout, so we could take another stroll through the rose garden across the street. We would definitely recommendation this hotel.

This hotel has been lovingly restored and they have done a great job of it all!! Its spacious, comfortable, beautifully restored and in such a handy location. We had dinner at the brand new restaurant and it was perfect, delicious food, service and decor. Auckland's best kept secret!

We stayed 6 nights and had a rate that included breakfast. Our room which was serviced each day met our needs completely. The breakfasts were great and one night we also used the restaurant for dinner which was also excellent. From the very helpful person that assisted me sort a problem with my booking when I first arrived to all of our interactions with all the staff, we were always looked after well.
